See Quarter Horses compete in events such as performance, halter, reining, cutting, team penning, roping, Western pleasure, rescue race, flag race, barrels, poles, and hunter under saddle. The show is a test of a rider's skill and execution and the horse's training and athleticism. Events are sanctioned by the National Reining Horse Association, National Cutting Horse Association and the National Quarter Horse Association.
